From Midwest Winters to Florida Sunshine My Story
Just a few years ago, I was the one scrolling through home listings from hundreds of miles away, dreaming of trading snow boots for flip-flops. I was living in Lincoln, Nebraska, with my husband, Riley. And while we loved our life there—the easy commutes, the great stores, the college town community feel, we couldn't shake the feeling that a different lifestyle and better opportunities were calling our names.
We were dreaming of more sunshine, a new adventure for our growing family, and yes, having Disney World in our backyard.
So in 2020, we took a giant leap of faith, packed up our lives, and moved to Central Florida to make that dream our reality.
Finding a Passion in the Process
We dove headfirst into the Florida lifestyle, building our first home from the ground up with M/I Homes in 2021. A year later, we bought a new Meritage Home. Through the process of watching our own homes be built, navigating the design centers, and immersing ourselves in incredible master-planned communities like Hills of Minneola and now Viera, I discovered a passion I never expected.
I became obsessed with the details: the floor plans, the builder reputations, the community amenities, and what it really takes to create a life here. Friends and family started asking me for advice, and I realized how much I loved being the guide for others on this journey. It hit me: this is what I want to do.
How I Help is Different Because I've Been There
My own journey into homeownership here was thrilling, but I’ll be honest, it was also filled with unnecessary stress. I remember the feeling of being left in the dark by our agent, wondering day-to-day if we were actually on track to close. I experienced firsthand how last-minute financing changes from the other side could derail everything. And when we built our first home, I felt completely blindsided by how one-sided the process was, heavily favoring the builder.
That frustration became my motivation. I knew there had to be a better way, a way where the client felt informed, empowered, protected, and deeply cared for every single step of the way. I don’t just want to sell houses; I want to be the agent I wish we'd had.
